Wavien Develops Ultra-Narrow Beam LED Using Recycling Technology

Wavien, Inc. today announces that advances in its patented Premien LED technology have resulted in the development of an ultra-narrow beam LED optic using innovative recycling technology.

This new design combines several optical components into a single, low-cost, moldable plastic module. Wavien's Premien Recycling Bullet(TM) has a unique approach that captures and recycles the light that is wasted in conventional lighting designs, and directs it back into a narrow, intensified output beam. Wavien will continue to increase the system performance using the Recycling Bullet and plans to expand the technology into other lighting systems.

"The design of the Recycling Bullet allows easy, low-cost implementation into a variety of compact and portable LED devices, such as high-performance specialty flashlights," stated Dr. Kenneth Li, President and CEO of Wavien, Inc., who is also the inventor of the technology. "This technology can be used with single or multiple white or colored LED chip packages," Dr. Li added.

The Recycling Bullet will be demonstrated as a small, but powerful flashlight at the CES show at booth #20356.
