MASTERIMAGE and Symphony 3D Holdings Merge Together

MASTERIMAGE Co., Ltd, maker of the fastest growing Theatrical, Display and Mobile 3D imaging systems is proud to announce it has been acquired by US based Symphony 3D Holdings. The new company, now called MASTERIMAGE 3D, LLC, has been capitalized with a new investment of 15 Million USD. The company’s aggressive growth combined with its acquisition and investment is evidence that the company has become a major player in the 3D marketplace.

Thanks to this substantial capital infusion and its new ownership, the U.S. based MASTERIMAGE is well positioned to advance in every area of its business. The company is now focused on the expansion and diversification of its markets and has new manufacturing agreements with KDC Corporation. Through the expansion of its research and development, MASTERIMAGE will provide superior products and services to the market.

MASTERIMAGE has grown under the vision and leadership of its founder, Mr. Younghoon Lee. “Since our launch, MASTERIMAGE has been committed to providing superior products that create the best immersive 3D viewing experience,” said Mr. Lee. “This investment will allow MASTERIMAGE to reach a new level of commercial success equal to our advanced 3D solutions.”

MASTERIMAGE has 3D industry solutions that cross a variety of platforms including stereoscopic and auto-stereoscopic products for mobile devices, theatre systems, medical imaging and the plasma and LCD display markets. By January 2010, MASTERIMAGE will have approximately 1,000 theatrical 3D systems installed worldwide and have enabled over 300,000 auto-stereoscopic mobile devices that allow viewers to experience 3D content without the use of glasses.
