C. Crane, a pioneer in direct-replacement LED light bulbs, is now shipping the new GeoBulb MR16 LED Light Bulb. The GeoBulb MR16 runs on just 3 Watts and can be used as a direct replacement for a 20-Watt halogen bulb.
C. Crane estimates that, over five years, for each standard 20 Watt MR16 bulb a business replaces with a GeoBulb® MR16, they could save about $200.00 in bulb replacement and electrical costs. GeoBulb® MR16 bulbs have standard bi-pin bases and should require no retrofitting of any kind.
The GeoBulb MR16 costs $49.95 and cost about $15.72 in electricity to run for five years for a total cost of $65.67. You could almost pay off the GeoBulb in the first year.
There are many commercial and residential situations where small MR16 bulbs are the best option to display artwork or to set the right ambiance. However, the vast majority of MR16 bulbs are very hot halogen bulbs or fragile incandescent bulbs that need to be replaced frequently. Compact fluorescents do not factor into this small bulb market because of their inherent large size. The tiny size of an LED lends itself to small bulb applications like MR16 bulbs, allowing for compact, bright bulbs that consume very little electricity, generate very little heat and last thousands of hours longer than halogen or incandescent bulbs.
"We started the GeoBulb line of LED light bulbs to help people conserve electricity with long-lasting, energy efficient bulbs,'' says Bob Crane, President of C. Crane. "Up until recently, it was impossible to construct a High Brightness, long-lasting MR16 LED bulb. We have more experience building and testing LED light bulbs over a longer period of time than most companies. By choosing the GeoBulb MR16 you will be getting the best performance and warranty in an MR16 bulb."
