LaserCare Technologies Completes Servicing of 100,000th Printer

When your printer breaks, sometimes the first temptation is to go buy a new one. Not only is this expensive, it also adds to the world’s growing electronic waste crisis. Instead, more and more businesses are looking to fix their broken printers, thereby extending the printers’ lifetimes, resulting in saving money and reducing the electronic waste that is damaging our precious environment.

Electronics are a rapidly growing part of the waste stream. The Environmental Protection Agency estimates that electronics are 2-5% of the waste stream, and research indicates that electronic waste is growing at three times the rate of other waste streams. National Geographic, in a recent article, states that “if all sources of electronic waste are tallied, it could total 50 million tons a year worldwide, according to the UN Environment Programme.”

LaserCare Technologies, a Los Angeles-based printer services and supply company, has serviced over 100,000 printers over the past twenty-two years. By helping companies extend the lifetime of their printers, LaserCare has helped to reduce the electronic waste that is threatening the world’s environment.

“It is good to know that our company is not only helping our clients save money, but we are also helping save the environment,” smiles Paul Wilhelm, President of LaserCare.

Expanding on its environmental impact, LaserCare has also recycled over 300,000 print cartridges. Instead of going to the landfill, these cartridges are fully remanufactured to the quality of new cartridges.

Some experts claim that up to 98% of all printer problems are related to an accumulation of dirt and dust. LaserCare’s low-cost service thoroughly cleans every part of your printer, thereby, reducing downtime and extending its lifetime.

LaserCare is a factory-authorized warranty service center able to service HP, Xerox, Lexmark, and many other printer brands. They offer walk-in and on-site service nationwide.

LaserCare’s expert service over the past twenty years has not only extended the lifetime of their clients’ printers and reduced some electronic waste, it has also resulted in their clients’ ability to print over 3 billion pages. They have helped leading companies in the entertainment, legal, financial, government, educational, service and technology industries manage their printing costs and improve their productivity.

The company recently unveiled its custom-designed, 10,000 sq. ft. office space in the heart of Los Angeles, centrally located between Santa Monica and Downtown. Their expanded showroom features creative workspaces that showcase a complete line of HP Multifunctional Printers, B&W Printers, Color Printers, and Network Management Solutions. Their PrintSmart program can help your business print any output faster, easier and better looking than ever before.

Within this new space LaserCare also houses its state-of-the-art toner remanufacturing facility. They use a quality controlled manufacturing environment to rebuild the cartridges to perform the same as new print cartridges. These recycled cartridges are packaged in environmentally conscious packaging.
