Luminus Devices Inc., developer and manufacturer of award-winning PhlatLight® LEDs today announced it is illuminating the latest high-performance projector system designs from projectiondesign. These new high-end projectors provide superior color and images enabled by the high levels of brightness and superior performance of Luminus' PhlatLight LEDs. projectiondesign applies the technology to projectors in both the professional and residential segments, and will showcase the new FL32 series of professional projectors in Booth #3761 at the InfoComm 2009 Conference in Orlando, Florida.
The FL32 projector series provides superior image quality and performance for the most demanding scientific visualization and simulation applications. PhlatLight LEDs supply unmatched color and brightness stability and offer a longer product lifetime for projectiondesign customers. Luminus PhlatLight LEDs enable instant start-ups without the warm-up or cool-down period required by lamp-based projectors. Additionally, the superior expected lifetime of the PhlatLight LEDs reduce total cost of ownership compared to that of traditional projectors, paving the way for intensive-use scenarios such as process monitoring and scientific visualization.
“The new projectiondesign systems have incredible pictures, and offer tremendous value to the users,” said Keith T. S. Ward, President and CEO, Luminus Devices. “We are very pleased to see the increased adoption of Luminus PhlatLight LED technology across all projection system categories.”
“projectiondesign is dedicated to providing our customers with the highest quality systems,” said Jørn Eriksen, President and CEO, projectiondesign. “Through the use of PhlatLight LEDs we are able to satisfy the most demanding users' requirements for brightness, color, reliability and light source life. Only PhlatLight can satisfy all of these requirements.”
PhlatLight LEDs are larger than conventional LEDs and designed to operate at significantly higher intensity. Projectors illuminated by PhlatLight LEDs produce more than fifty percent wider color gamut than the National Television Systems Committee standard and the pure, primary colors sequentially pulsed at high speeds provide ultra-fast color refresh for stable, accurate colors and a smooth picture with superior motion quality.
