Preliminary details have been released for the LEDs 2009 conference program. This year's conference advisory committee represents a who's who of industry with Kathryn Conway, Principal, LEDs Consulting, and Dr Klaus Streubel, Senior Director of R&D, OSRAM Opto Semiconductors returning as conference co-chairs and members of the advisory committee. They will be joined on the committee by Michael Godwin, Product Marketing Manager, OSRAM Opto Semiconductor, Steve Landau, Director, Marketing Communications, Philips Lumileds, and Mark McClear, Director, Business Development, CREE. LEDs 2009 conference sessions include Market Trends and Developments, Chips and Components, Integration Engineering, Optics, Thermal Management and Drivers, Luminaire Design and Commercial Applications.
There are still speaker slots remaining on the LEDs 2009 conference program. Topics should focus on the business and technical information that is the subject of the conference, rather than the product line, sales interests or management structure of an individual organization. The total time allotted for each presentation is 30 minutes, with 20-25 minutes for the presentation and 5-10 minutes for questions and discussion. Speaker slots will be proffered on a first-come-first-served basis contingent upon the merits of the proposal. Contact Olga Adamovich at +1 207 781 9628 or [email protected] for additional details.
LEDs 2009 will also feature three full-day pre-conference summits to be held on Monday, October 20, directly preceding the event. These intensive summits are designed to provide in-depth insight into selected topics that are currently of crucial importance in the LED industry. Topics for 2009 will be:
LED Testing and Measurement
LCD Backlighting
Advanced Lighting
These summits will run simultaneously and will require a separate fee. Please visit www.ledsconference.com for additional details and program updates.
