Solar Cells and Modules Inspected by VITRONIC Technology

VITRONIC supplies manufacturers of solar cells and solar cell modules with high-performance inspection-systems. Optical quality inspection contributes to high-quality and clearly classified products. Such solar cells and modules are now producing energy for VITRONIC. VITRONIC´s Managing Director Dr.-Ing. Norbert Stein and Mayor of Wiesbaden Dr. Helmut Müller inaugurated the systems on May the 14th.

A total of 259 modules with a performance of 56.98 kWp are located on the roof of the new production building and headquarters. This should contribute to an annual CO2-reduction of around 44 tons. Approximately 1,100 middle sized broadleaf trees would be necessary to process such an amount of CO2. A middle sized broadleaf assimilates 40 kg of CO2 yearly.

The new production building and redesigned headquarters were initiated in November 2007. With the installation of the systems on both buildings VITRONIC celebrates a new milestone in nearly 25 years of company history.

VITRONIC has been a player in the photovoltaic industry since 2005. Machine vision systems of the product group

VINSPECsolar offer inspecting solutions for each relevant production step. „The manufacturer of our photovoltaic plant use VITRONIC-technology. Thus we can be sure that we use high-quality systems “, said Dr.-Ing. Norbert Stein during the inauguration on both buildings. Machine vision systems from VITRONIC are utilized by many famous and international companies in Germany, the USA and Asia.
