The top management of Leica Microsystems GmbH has now been reinforced by the addition of a fourth member of the management board: Ludger Althoff, a qualified mechanical engineer, will be responsible for the production of the company for high-tech precision optic systems, reporting directly to company President Dr. Wolf-Otto Reuter.
Althoff's job at Leica Microsystems will cover all corporate processes relevant to production, including material purchasing and production logistics. Before joining Leica Microsystems, Ludger Althoff worked for machine tool manufacturer Hengstler in Aldingen, Baden-Wuerttemberg since 2001. His first assignment there was to reorganize the production routines, which he successfully completed in the year 2003.
