SVS-Vistek Introduces 10GigE Version of Beyond Vision Series of Ultraviolet Camera

SVS-Vistek has developed its new fxo487MXGE machine vision UV camera by fusing the Sony Pregius Ultraviolet (UV) 8.1 megapixel image sensor with the 10GigE Vision interface. In addition to its low latency and flexible cabling options,10GigE Vision's significantly higher bandwidth makes it possible to transmit large, high-resolution images at extremely fast frame rates. Built on the proven SVS-Vistek FXO platform, the fxo487MXGE is able to capture full resolution 2840 x 2840 UV images at 87 frames-per-second, while saving integration costs with its compatibility with standard Ethernet infrastructure, Power over Ethernet, and C-mount lenses,

The fxo487MXGE UV camera allows for the detection of defects or specific features in the 200-40 nm range that are not visible under normal lighting conditions. Among its many uses, the fxo487MXGE will find hidden defects or contaminants in food, beverages and pharmaceuticals, sort recycled materials at high speeds, identify counterfeit products or forged documents, examine transparent materials for imperfections, and analyze biological samples by observing fluorescent markers.

Technical advantages rounding out the camera's feature set include: Industrial TTL-24V I/O interface with SafeTrigger, GenICam 3.0, logic functions, programmable sequencers and timers, RS232 interface, and an integrated 4-channel strobe controller. Ruggedly engineered for industrial environments, the camera has an operating temperature range up to 60° C (140°F) and is rated IP30.
