TAGARNO Introduces Enhanced FHD Microscopes with Upgraded STARVIS 2 Image Sensor for Superior Performance

TAGARNO, a renowned Danish manufacturer of high-quality digital microscopes, is excited to announce a significant upgrade to its line of FHD microscopes, originally launched in 2016. The new upgrade centers around the integration of the state-of-the-art FCB-EV9520L camera, powered by the innovative STARVIS 2 imaging technology, delivering unprecedented image quality and improved operational performance.

The STARVIS 2 imaging technology significantly enhances the capabilities of TAGARNO’s microscopes. With the upgraded camera, users will experience improved dynamic range, enabling the microscopes to excel in both low-light environments and areas with excessive light. This expanded dynamic range ensures superior image clarity, even under challenging lighting conditions.

In addition, the STARVIS 2 sensor dramatically increases the Signal-to-Noise Ratio (SNR), resulting in clearer and more detailed images. This upgrade also brings enhanced color reproduction, providing users with highly accurate and realistic visuals across various applications and lighting conditions.

For TAGARNO ZIP and ZAP models, the new camera also introduces faster startup and operational speeds. This improvement is achieved through advanced architectural refinements in STARVIS 2, which optimize initialization routines and streamline data processing for greater efficiency.

One of the main features of this hardware upgrade is the ability to zoom and focus simultaneously, allowing for smoother workflows. This improvement is particularly beneficial for users who frequently adjust zoom levels, as it saves time and enhances productivity.

Anders Ravnskjær Pedersen, Head of R&D and Product Management at TAGARNO, commented “At TAGARNO we are continuously improving the performance and usability of our digital microscopes. The STARVIS 2 image sensor is a significant technology upgrade to our FHD microscopes, adding value to the end users across industries. In particular, the improved dynamic range helps the end users ensure a superior image quality, even under challenging lighting conditions.”

This hardware upgrade is now available across TAGARNO’s existing line of FHD microscopes, offering both new and existing users the opportunity to benefit from these advancements.
