The expansion of the 5G network will certainly be one of the dominant topics at this year’s fiber optics symposium held by LASER COMPONENTS. On October 24, 2019, representatives from all areas of the fiber optics industry will gather for their annual meeting in Olching near Munich. In lectures and at discussion tables, they will discuss both current market and technology development and the political framework.
“Hardly any other industry is as dynamic as the fiber optics market,” says Dr. Andreas Hornsteiner, the host of the symposium. “That’s why we try to offer as broad a range of topics as possible every year. The new mobile communications standard will certainly be the central focus this time around. We have invited several top-rate speakers to address this subject. For example, Professor Wolfgang Kellerer from the Technical University of Munich will report on the 5G testbed in Bavaria.” In addition, representatives from reputable enterprises such as Kathrein, German Telecom, Vetter, Raycap, and VIAVI will speak about such exciting topics as network development and fiber optics.
In order to create the right environment for a lively exchange of ideas, the number of participants is limited. Currently, there are still spots available; however, based on past experiences, the organizer does not advise waiting too long with registration.
