OSI Laser Diode Launches Wavelength-Stabilized 1650 nm Pulsed DFB Laser Diode Module

OSI Laser Diode (LDI), a leading global supplier of advanced optoelectronics components, introduces a 1650 nm AI RWG DFB laser diode module. The SCW 1731F-D40R is specially designed for optical test equipment applications where high-peak-pulsed optical power is required.

The laser diode module’s unique proprietary design offers a stabilized wavelength that is unaffected by operational pulse width, making it ideal for OSA/OTDR tasks. The module also features a broader spectrum than is available in traditional DFBs and it exhibits less noise in OTDR and other similar applications.

The new product, housed in a 14-pin DIL package, is RoHS compliant. It is optically coupled to an SMF fiber pigtail and includes a thermoelectric cooler and an electrically-isolated temperature-sensing thermistor.
