OSI Laser Diode, Inc. (LDI), an OSI Systems Company, will introduce a high power 1650 nm RWG F/P laser diode module, the SCW 1732-BGR, at OFC trade show, March 5 - 7, 2019, in booth #4700 at the San Diego Convention Center, San Diego, California.
The new pulsed laser module is optically coupled to a single-mode fiber pigtail that includes a fiber Bragg grating (FBG) to stabilize the wavelength throughout a variety of operating conditions. The SCW 1732-BGR includes a thermoelectric cooler and an electrically-isolated temperature-sensing thermistor for enhanced thermal stability. The module also features a monitor detector for optical feedback control. The new RoHS compliant device is specially designed for tasks where high-peak-pulsed optical power is required or desired, such as optical test equipment applications.
Available in a durable, 14-pin butterfly package, OSI Laser Diode’s innovative laser diode module characteristics include optical power (fiber) at a minimum of 275 mW, with a forward drive current at 2100 mA, typically, and a maximum of 3000 mA. The threshold current is typically 70 mA and the forward voltage is a minimum 3V to a maximum of 4V. The device’s center wavelength ranges from 1649 nm (minimum) to 1650 nm (typical) to 1651 nm (max.).
