New Features: EyeVision 3D Next Generation, Robot Vision UR Communication, Smart Line Scan Camera, Low-Cost 3D Triangulation Sensor

EyeVision 3D Next Generation

EVT will present the latest features of the EyeVision 3D software. The next generation of the 3D image processing contains commands for the inspection of glue-, seal and adhesive beads, weld seams and as well as bin-picking. EVT shows the core competence of the EyeVision 3D: the 3D pin inspection for the recognition of flaws on pins such as the pin-height or true point. Also the EyeVision 3D supports all the well-established sensors of different technologies such as Automation Technology, LMI, Wenglor MEL, Chromasens, etc.

Direct Universal Robot UR communication

EyeVision can now control and communicate with UR robots via only one single command. This makes laborious programming obsolete and makes the robot control much easier.

Also the robot control and image evaluation can be carried out via the EyeVision, which makes solutions for 2D, 3D such as e.g. bin-picking or thermal imaging applications easier to handle.

Smart Line Scan Camera

The EVT hardware development has a new camera: the RazerCam ZLS is a smart line scan camera with optional either Zynq or Myriad 2 Deep Learning processor. The FPGA is freely programmable under Linux, available with Power over Ethernet (PoE), automatic shading correction and is capable of MultiDataStreaming. The SDK as well as libraries of EyeVision, OpenCV and many more are also available. The line scan camera can be also quite easily converted into a matrix camera. The RazerCam ZM has a matrix sensor from Sony.

Both smart cameras are also available as EyeCheck ZLS and ZM with already integrated EyeVision software.

Low-cost 3D triangulation sensor: Saturn

The EVT hardware development also has made a step into the third dimension. Saturn is with 1 kHz resolution a high-resolution lasertriangulation sensor. The sensor is available with red as well as blue laser and is also GenICam compatible.

Saturn will be also available as intelligent version with integrated processor in the future, and therefore the EyeVision software will run directly on the sensor.
