Telia Carrier today announced a strategic alliance with CyrusOne, one of the largest carrier-neutral data center providers in the United States. The agreement provides CyrusOne’s enterprise customers with access to Telia Carrier’s top-two rated global IP network AS1299, as well as total integration into CyrusOne’s National IX platform for connectivity and access to cloud services.
CyrusOne’s diverse customer base includes over 170 Fortune 1000 customers across more than 30 locations globally, including a sizeable Texas footprint. Telia Carrier’s global IP network, AS1299, offers CyrusOne customers immediate 100G availability scalable to multi-terabit capacity, and includes the benefits of the wholesale carrier’s Wavelength, IP, and Ethernet services. Telia Carrier owns and operates its global network.

According to Dyn Research’s global backbone rankings, AS1299, Telia Carrier’s global IP backbone is currently ranked top two. Telia Carrier’s rapid growth and ascension through the rankings was recently highlighted in Dyn’s ‘Baker’s Dozen, 2015 edition’ report. Telia Carrier’s 62 U.S. PoPs serve the region with mission-critical, 100G-enabled Internet transit, Wavelength and Ethernet services. At the 2015 World Communication Awards (WCA) in London, Telia Carrier was recognized for having the best customer care in the industry.
