Larson Electronics Introduces Class 1 Division 2 Hazardous Location LED Luminaire

Larson Electronics continues its commitment to providing high grade lighting equipment to specialty markets with the release of a Class 1 Division 2 hazardous location LED light fixture equipped with stainless steel I-beam mounting brackets to allow users to suspend the fixture from existing beams.

The HALP-48-2L-LED-SIBAB-SS stainless steel I-beam mount fixture is USA and Canada approved and specifically designed to handle the rigors of wet and corrosive marine environments. This four foot, two lamp fixture is ideal for operators seeking a top quality hazardous location light that will improve light quality and reduce operating costs. The fixture is constructed of non-corrosive materials including a polyester housing reinforced with glass fiber, a poured in gasket for reliable sealing and an impact resistant acrylic diffuser. Eight corrosion resistant stainless steel latches secure the lamp cover to the housing and provide a firm lock against the poured in seal.

The 28 watt LED lamps produce 30% more illumination than standard T8 bulbs while offering lower amp draw and increased reliability. The lamps produce a combined total of 6,720 lumens. This I-beam mount fixture is equipped with two stainless steel I-beam clamps and two stainless steel adjustable flange brackets. This custom combination allows operators to secure the fixture to existing I-beams without penetrating them. The I-beam mount is designed for upward lighting for pits in work stations, as well as downward lighting for pipe racks and under shelving.

“The unique mounting design provides operators with the ability to install lights on existing I-beams and other areas where surface mounting is not applicable,” said Rob Bresnahan, CEO of Larson Electronics. “The I-beam mounting brackets are equipped with adjustable stainless steel flange brackets that allow the user to adjust the fixture up or down once installed.”
