Lux Review, an independent media covering energy-efficient lighting, recently unveiled Lux Review’s Global Hotlist of Lighting Companies 2015. As one of the biggest lighting companies in China, OPPLE Lighting entered the hotlist for its remarkable achievements in the global lighting market.
Lux Review highlighted OPPLE’s new business models and pointed out that as one of the greatest brands to emerge from the Chinese LED revolution of the 2000s, OPPLE Lighting has embarked on a global push that is winning market share from long-established names. It is a milestone in the history of the OPPLE brand and will urge the company to provide more professional and accurate lighting products.
With the grand vision of “building a globalized lighting company and a leading lighting brand in China”, OPPLE Lighting has been expanding its business globally in recent years. Apart from offering quality products for average families, the company also provides lighting solutions for many leading overseas enterprises like Jeddah Mall, Starbucks, Movenpick, Adidas, Mercedes-Benz, Burger King and KFC.
It is worth mentioning that last year, Moddy Mosque, which was funded by donors and managed by the Ministry of Awqaf in Kuwait, invited OPPLE and its distributors to get involved in the project and to help enhance its interior lighting to fit the overall grandeur and regal air. With a space of 3,000m2, OPPLE used 650 LED HM Downlight luminaires and 1,500 meters of LED EcoMax Soft Strip. Compared to traditional CFL systems, LED HM Downlight luminaires have a 50,000-hour lifespan and can offer up to 60% energy savings. Alarabia Electrical, the lighting designer of the project, believed that the lighting solution not only created a uniformly illuminated area but also succeeded in defining the space by bringing the architecture to life.
In order to speed up its global expansion strategy and improve the technology in the LED products, OPPLE Lighting signed a technical cooperation agreement with Seaborough, a Dutch company providing ground-breaking innovations for the lighting industry, on Oct 29, 2015, also signifying the first step of the initial production of oneTLed, the world’s first universally interchangeable LED light tube. The new technology will enhance energy efficiency by consuming 50% less electricity. The collaboration with Seaborough will become a great chance for OPPLE to further enhance its R&D capability and provide differentiated integrated lighting solutions and professional services in the lighting market.
