Digital Lumens, the market leader in intelligent LED lighting systems, today announced that its DLE intelligent LED fixtures now qualify for DLC Premium status on the Design Lights Consortium’s Qualified Products List. Products designated as DLC Premium have higher efficacy, quality and reliability than those on the standard qualified products list. The highly selective DLC Premium designation is reserved for the highest quality products and represents a mere 3.5% of the Design Lights Consortium’s Qualified Products List.
As LEDs reach large-scale market adoption and commoditization, the existence of the Design Lights Consortium provides a great standard for measuring the variety of LED products in the market to ensure that customers and utilities can determine which products deliver the highest levels of quality and performance.
“Since shipping our first intelligent LED fixture, Digital Lumens has been committed to the highest standards for product performance, design, quality and reliability. In fact, ours was the first high bay LED fixture listed on the original qualified products list,” said Kaynam Hedayat, Digital Lumens’ Vice President of Product Management. “We are very pleased to have our complete DLE suite of intelligent LED products listed, acknowledging that they meet the Design Lights Consortium’s stringent standards.”
The additional criteria for products to receive Premium labeling are intended to ensure that vendors’ products give customers the energy savings promised and the longevity expected from their LED lighting investment. Products submitted to the DLC Premium classification must meet higher efficacy and lumen maintenance requirements and must also provide information about integral controls, in addition to meeting all of the required safety certifications.
