Theradome Inc., creator of the first FDA-cleared over-the-counter, wearable hair restoration device, introduces the Theradome LH80 PRO Laser Helmet at the 2015 Annual Scientific Meeting of the International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery (ISHRS) from September 9 to September 13 at the Hilton Chicago.
Former NASA scientist and inventor of the Theradome Laser Helmet, Tamim Hamid, will be in attendance to discuss and educate participants on the benefits of Low-Level Laser Light Therapy (LLLT) for patients battling hair loss caused by androgenetic alopecia.
"The ISHRS Annual Scientific Meeting is such an important event for hair restoration surgeons and their teams," says Hamid. "We are extremely excited to have the opportunity to introduce the Theradome LH80 PRO to the foremost experts in the field, and are anticipating an exceptional response."
Using an optimal LLLT device, such as the Theradome, in conjunction with undergoing hair restoration surgery can boost the overall results of the procedure. This is due to the release of nitric oxide, which improves blood flow to hair follicle roots and increases the reduction rate of swelling, redness and inflammation after surgery.
The world's most experienced hair restoration surgeons gather each year for the event, which is considered the "premier meeting in the field of hair restoration." The conference includes various lectures, discussions, presentations, and courses on the subject.
This year, elite hair restoration expert Dr. Sara Wasserbauer, who is a major proponent of LLLT and the Theradome LH80 PRO Laser Helmet, will be leading the meeting's Advanced/Board Review Course on September 9 from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m.
"The reason so many lauded physicians in the field have already become advocates of the Theradome LH80 PRO is simple: it allows patients to treat their hair loss symptoms in the comfort of their own homes in a manner which is completely safe and extremely effective," says Hamid. "It is all about expanding our knowledge and network as hair restoration professionals. I'm very much looking forward to it."
