Xingtera Ethernet Integrated with MegaChips’ VoC Technology to Coax Converter with PoC

MegaChips Corporation today announced that its VoC technology is integrated into the Xingtera Ethernet to Coax Converter with Power-over-Coax (PoC) (1*RJ45/1*BNC), eliminating the need for additional cabling for power. Available now at the Xingtera store, the new converter powers IP cameras via existing coax cable, saving time and expense of installations for camera makers in the security and surveillance industry.

"Worldwide deployment of HD cameras is increasing, and providing cost-effective products for these installations is essential," said Koichi Akeyama, president of MegaChips Technology America Corporation. "We are pleased to work with Xingtera to make available a product that lowers cost and time of camera installation on existing coax cable where there is no AC power available."

David Chin, VP of marketing at Xingtera, said, "Partnering with MegaChips has enabled us to offer Ethernet to Coax Converters that help the security and surveillance industry transition from analog to digital video with ease. Offering a PoC product so no additional power is needed for the IP camera is one way to simplify this transition."
