CABLExpress Announces Launch of New High-Density Fiber Optic Enclosure Series at NY Tech Summit

CABLExpress announced today at NY Tech Summit that it has expanded its H-Series high-density fiber optic enclosure line to include a 10U 8-slot enclosure, providing additional port replication options for data center professionals. The enclosure features increased space between ports, decreasing cabling congestion and simplifying cable management.

CABLExpress announced at NY Tech Summit that it has expanded its H-Series high-density fiber optic enclosure line to include a 10U 8-slot enclosure, providing additional port replication options for data center professionals.

"Each data center has specific needs and challenges based on the organization it's designed to support, and a one-size-fits all approach isn't always the most beneficial," said Josh Taylor, senior product manager at CABLExpress. "It's important to provide options that allow data center professionals to choose what will work best for their environments, while simplifying cable management, minimizing the risk of downtime, and reducing installation time."

The CABLExpress H-Series enclosures are ideal for port replication solutions, which facilitate a direct, one-to-one relationship between the active fiber optic hardware and the passive structured cabling environment. The enclosures are part of the CABLExpress Skinny-Trunk Solution, a comprehensive fiber optic cabling system.

The H-Series 10U 8-slot enclosure features:

  • Vertical and horizontal mounting configurations, allowing full port replication of Brocade, Cisco and Arista enterprise-class switches
  • Capacity for up to 384 ports
  • Ultra low-loss components, allowing flexibility in fiber network design

CABLExpress released a white paper on port replication to address challenges data center professionals are facing with the management of their fiber optic cabling infrastructures. Higher bandwidth demands continue to drive the need for increased fiber optic ports, which leads to cable management issues and the potential for downtime.
