Sciton, Inc. today announced that Julia Carroll, MD, FRCPC, a board certified dermatologist and fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, is presenting “Advances in Skin Laser Resurfacing” at the 23RD meeting of the World Congress of Dermatology (WCD), June 8 – 13, at the Vancouver Convention Centre, Vancouver, British Columbia.
Dr. Carroll will present an overview of laser technology including the Sciton Halo™ laser which combines deep dermal rejuvenation with epidermal renewal for a combined synergistic effect without the downtime of more aggressive treatments. Halo, the next step in facial rejuvenation, combines wavelengths to create a non-ablative laser experience with results mimicking an ablative laser.
The company will also present two clinical e-poster presentations at WCD, including:
Abstract Title: “A Novel Hybrid Ablative and Non-Ablative Fractional Resurfacing Treatment: Clinical Efficacy, Safety and Patient Satisfaction,” presented by Mark Lupin, MD, FRCPC; Abstract #2983375.
Abstract Title: “Long Term Evaluation of the Anti-Aging Effects of Broadband Light Therapy," presented by Patrick Bitter, Jr., M.D.; Abstract #2969971. Dr. Bitter will also provide advanced clinical training on FotoFacial™, BroadBand Light™, ForeverYoung BBL, SkinTyte™, MicroLaserPeel™, ProFractional combinations and HALO/BBL combination treatments.
