M/A-COM Technology Solutions Inc. (“MACOM”), a leading supplier of high performance analog RF, microwave and optical semiconductor products, today announced the new MATA-003806, a dual channel linear transimpedance amplifier (TIA) for next generation coherent receiver applications.
The MATA-003806 TIA has transimpedance gain which can be adjusted from 100Ω up to 10KΩ with manual and automatic gain control modes of operation. Input and output peak detectors are available for RSSI and AGC functionality. With excellent linearity and noise performance over the complete dynamic range, and power dissipation of 300mW per channel, the device is ideal for the next generation of micro-ICRs (Integrated Coherent Receivers) for metro applications at 100Gbps and beyond.
“These devices further complement MACOM’s expanding optical portfolio,” said Ray Moroney, Product Manager. “MACOM intends to expand on its leadership position in modulator drivers to provide industry leading solutions for optical receivers as well.”
MACOM is leading supplier of optical networking products that enable the transition to 100G and beyond. By moving information from the core network to datacenters worldwide, MACOM has the deep product portfolio, technological capabilities and optical networking expertise to accelerate speed-to-market, by minimizing 10G-400G design and deployment.
Samples of MATA-003408 are available today and are being demonstrated at OFC 2015 in Los Angeles from the March 24th – 26th, 2015. Please visit booth 1947 at OFC and www.macom.com for more information.
