Access Fixtures, a leader in commercial and sports lighting, has expanded its tennis court lighting packages with an LED tennis court lighting package for quad courts, or four adjacent tennis courts.
Access Fixtures lighting specialists use advanced photometric analysis software to design LED tennis court lighting packages that provide balanced, even, superior lighting. While illuminating larger courts from the exterior of the fence used to be a challenging and expensive, it is now easier as light per luminaire increases and LED prices decline.
"Access Fixtures provides custom LED tennis court solutions, but we also create standard packages based on repetitive requests for similar lighting solutions," said Access Fixtures CEO, Steven Rothschild. "There is an increasing demand by larger venues that want to install new LED lighting systems or upgrade existing lighting systems to LED, and standardization adds value for these customers."
Compared to pulse-start metal halide (PSMH) systems, the new LED tennis court lighting package reduces energy use by 66%, has instant-on/instant-off capabilities, and max/min factors for more even lighting levels. With 10 poles and 32x 378w LED fixtures, the package maintains 52.84 average footcandles over the entire court. The luminaires are rated LM70 at 100,000 hours, virtually eliminating maintenance.
With the increasing power of LED luminaires, Access Fixtures lighting specialists are able to illuminate quad courts from the exterior of the fence around the court. This eliminates the need to put pole-mounted luminaires between courts, preventing trenching or digging holes in existing courts. Now LED lighting can be installed around quad tennis courts leaving the playing surface untouched and damage free.
