Larson Electronics Introduces 150W 347/480 VAC Explosion Proof High Bay LED Light Fixture

Leading manufacturer and distributor of industrial lighting Larson Electronics announces the release of a Class 2 Division 1 explosion proof high bay light fixture that provides operators with a powerful and energy efficient alternative to traditional hazardous location luminaries.

EPLC2-HB-150LED-RT-480V Explosion Proof High Bay light fixture

The EPLC2-HB-150LED-RT-480V explosion proof light fixture provides 12,500 lumens of high quality light while drawing only 150 watts. The copper free aluminum alloy body is powder coated for added durability and an attractive aesthetic appearance. Special heat dissipating design in conjunction with LED technology helps this fixture achieve an excellent 60,000 hour rated lifespan with 80% lumen retention. Light weight and a low profile make this unit an attractive alternative to larger and heavier older fixtures and require much less hardware to install. This explosion proof light can be operated with 347-480 volts AC without any modifications. 347 volt is common in Western Canada, while 480 volt is common in the United States and Eastern Canada. The aluminum body and LED lamp give this light excellent durability and resistance to vibration and impacts. The housing is specially designed to dissipate heat which increases the efficiency and lifespan of the LED luminaries. This explosion proof LED light fixture is IP67 rated, dust-proof, and protected against high pressure jets and temporary submersion. The LED lamp produces 12,500 lumens with a color temperature of 6000K and a color rendering index of 70 which produces colors and details much more accurately than high pressure sodium or mercury vapor luminaries. The EPLC2-HB-150LED-RT-480V offers several mounting options including ceiling mounting, pendant mounting, wall mounting and cable mounting.

“This Class 2 Division 1 light is configured to operate on 347-480 volts AC which is common in Canada,” Rob Bresnahan with Larsonelectronics.com said. “The solid state design of light emitting diodes provides a more reliable, stable, durable, and energy efficient light source over traditional lighting.”
