SmartGeoMetrics Announces Acquisition of 3D Laser Imaging

SmartGeoMetrics™ (SGM) a division of SmartMultiMedia™, Inc. and 3D Laser Imaging Inc., is pleased to announce its acquisition of 3D Laser Imaging Inc. (3DLI) on Sept. 1, 2014. Additionally, SGM hired a partner of 3DLI, Jeff Williams, who has been an integral part of the company's data processing services in Nashville.

"I'm very excited and proud of this acquisition," said Dietrich Evans, president of 3DLI. "SmartGeoMetrics shares the same passion, vision & experience of understanding the value of point clouds and their integration into the soon-to-be industry standard of BIM. They are a fantastic organization to service my existing clients and continue to provide superior support to ongoing Master Service Agreements. With this acquisition, I do see SmartGeoMetrics as the ideal company to continue pushing the technological envelope with always improving ideas, values and work ethic. They will continue to work tirelessly to earn and retain your business."

"We are extremely excited to be able to pick up where 3DLI has taken their Point Cloud to Revit conversion tools and incorporate their IP into our workflows and products," said Sam Billingsley, PLS, vice president of business and product development at SGM. "Combining these capabilities with Jeff Williams' tremendous skill sets and SGM's unmatched product offerings, we are able to provide a single source for all of the 3D imaging needs in BIM markets."
