SunCentral today announced it has entered an exclusive partnership with LightEFX to bring SunCentral’s intelligent skylight products to the Australian market.
The $4.15 million agreement gives LightEFX, a division of Fibre Optic Cable Pty Ltd. specializing in natural daylight delivery systems and fiber optical lighting, the exclusive right to buy, sell and install SunCentral System sunlighting solutions, including the SunBeamer.
“Nearly all of Australia enjoys plenty of sunshine hours each day, and this partnership with LightEFX will allow us to enhance built environments across the country by bringing this beautiful outdoor light indoors,” said Guthrie Cox, CEO of SunCentral.
Without having to significantly alter building design, SunCentral offers a way to distribute sunlight up to 50 feet within multi-story buildings, resulting in significantly improved light quality and reducing electric lighting load by up to 75 percent during business hours. Using optical components that track the sun autonomously, the SunBeamer works in conjunction with the SunCentral System to produce a stationary collimated beam of light throughout the day, providing natural sunlight to previously inaccessible areas of buildings.
“Given the state of energy consumption in Australia, we’re a big supporter of natural daylight solutions that create brighter, healthier and more pleasant indoor environments,” said Ivan Tutic, CEO of LightEFX. “Not only does SunCentral have some of the best products in the industry, they have also made them incredibly affordable. These products are true game-changers, and we are looking forward to reducing energy consumption while enhancing the occupant experience for businesses across the country.”
