The rising demands of industrial image processing for automization and quality assurance increasingly requires cameras with the highest possible resolution, very high frame rates and global shutter technology.
Typical high-end industrial applications include precision quality control in the production of flat screens and printed circuit boards. High resolution is also needed in other fields of application, such as particle image velocimetry (PIV), 3D measurement or surface inspection require high-resolution high-speed cameras.
The new, very compact digital 25 megapixel high-speed camera from Mikrotron, the EoSens 25CXP with high performance CoaXPress real-time data interface, meets the high demands of high-end applications with its outstanding performance characteristics.
The interface offers data transmission rates of up to 6.25 Gbit/s with a single-core cable, and up to 25 Gbit/s with up to four cores. The data transfer is performed using only one cable, which also facilitates communication with and control from the PC and supplies power to the camera, and all that at transmission distances of over 100 meters. These are decisive advantages for easy integration in processes.
At a resolution of 5,120 x 5,120 pixels, the camera can guarantee a frame rate of 80 fps, in full-HD it can deliver 880 fps and at reduced resolution it offers up to 100,000 fps. The integrated global shutter allows for the exposure of all pixels at the same time with the shortest exposure times of up to 1 µs.
This is a decisive advantage that ensures the highest image quality. The continuously variable composition of the image field with regard to position and resolution (RoI) results in a high application flexibility.
The camera offers an color depth of 10 bit and a dynamic range of 53 db. With dimensions of just 80 x 80 x 53 mm and a robust design, the EoSens can be used in tight spaces and integrated directly into processes.
