Smithers Apex, in association with the OLED Association, is pleased to announce that the key players in the OLEDs industry will return to the San Francisco Bay Area for the OLEDs World Summit 2014. The 16th annual event will take place September 16-18 at The Claremont Hotel Club & Spa in Berkeley, CA, USA.
The OLEDs World Summit is the longest-running, preeminent technical and business event dedicated exclusively to the OLEDs industry - connecting researchers with customers and manufacturers in both the lighting and display sectors.
The OLED industry is growing exponentially, with more and more novel applications being developed for commercial use. The 2014 edition of the OLEDs World Summit will continue focus on large displays and flexible devices, but also explore some of the more promising technologies currently in development, and help define a path towards commercialization. Concepts to be covered include new visual devices, breakthroughs in flexible backplane technology, mobile and wearable devices, and novel developments in organic electronics research that will have both immediate and long-term uses in new commercial products for the large display and lighting industries.
"Coming off of our 15th Anniversary conference - which marked our biggest and most dynamic event to date - we are excited to host delegates at The Claremont Hotel Club & Spa in Berkeley - just outside of San Francisco and overlooking the Bay," said Andrew Smaha, conference director for Smithers Apex. "Berkeley is right at the heart of the California technology industry and it is an honor for Smithers Apex to be hosting scientists, researchers in organic materials, developers, consultants and solution providers from both the display and lighting sectors at such a beautiful location."
The OLEDs World Summit 2013 continued the precedent of presenting a balanced representation of all facets of the industry -academics and researchers; the foremost market analysts in the industry and business applications. Representing the academic perspective, attendees at OLEDs 2013 heard from organizations like Sungkyunkwan University, USDOE and Yamagata University. Leading analysts who shared key intelligence and forecasts included DisplaySearch and NanoMarkets LLC. Providing insights into the commercial side of the industry, delegates heard from LG Display, Sony, Novaled, Konica Minolta, Ignis Innovation, Sumitomo Chemical, Philips Lighting, Acuity Brands Lighting and UDC.
