Telepak Networks, Inc., a broadband networking company, announced plans today to sell fiber-based digital broadband services under the C Spire Fiber brand.
Telepak Networks already has a strong reputation in the telecommunications industry as one of the leading independent providers of Internet, telecommunications and network services – so teaming up with sister company C Spire Wireless, a leader in the wireless industry, was a logical next step, according to Gregg Logan, vice president and general manager of Telepak. Both companies will continue to operate independently under the marketing services agreement.
Hu Meena, president and CEO of C Spire Wireless, said the move makes sense for both companies. “In today’s world, wireless and Internet services are synonymous with integration as high bandwidth wireless applications for consumers and businesses demand this comprehensive approach to ensure overall quality,” Meena said.
Logan said Telepak Networks has been on the leading edge of industry efforts for the last several years to build an all-optical fiber network optimized for high-speed wired and wireless data convergence. Both optical and wireless technologies have inherent advantages, but when combined together in a seamless, integrated fashion, they form a powerful network infrastructure that can support current and future applications requiring ultra-fast data connections with on-the-go mobility, he said, noting that business customers often choose to subscribe to this same carrier-grade level of network to ensure unparalleled reliability.
This is the second major move by Telepak to align with the C Spire brand. Last year, the company began offering its IP Voice phone services and fixed-rate, high-speed dedicated Internet access services for small and medium-sized businesses under the C Spire Business Solutions brand along with wireless services offered by C Spire Wireless.
