Lighting Science Group Corporation® announced today announced it has achieved the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 9001: 2008 certification for the development and manufacture of LED lighting products.
This independent certification validates Lighting Science commitment to quality and affirms that Lighting Science has thoroughly documented its quality processes while meeting the stringent qualifications for the global ISO 9001:2008 standard.
ISO 9001 Quality Management System Certification provides Lighting Science a ways to demonstrate its ability to consistently meet customer and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements. To qualify for ISO 9001 certification, eight quality management principles were met: customer focus, leadership, involvement of people at all levels, process approach, system approach to management, continual improvement, factual approach to decision making, and mutual beneficial partner relationships.
