Prysm Inc., a video display provider offering brilliant life-like and life-size displays for truly immersive experiences, announced that its Laser Phosphor Display (LPD) technology has won a prestigious DIGI Award for the second consecutive year. This year Prysm has been recognized in the "Best Product, New Generation Display (non-LCD or Plasma)" category.
The DIGI Awards, sponsored by Digital Signage Magazine together with The Digital Signage Group, recognize the outstanding integrators, content providers and product manufacturers focused on digital signage. Last year, Prysm won the DIGI Award for its high profile installation in American Eagle Outfitters' flagship store in New York City.
"Being recognized two years in a row is a testament to the disruption our technology has had on the overall AV industry. Prysm's environmentally-friendly design combined with its unmatched image quality and longevity have propelled LPD to the forefront of large-scale videowall technology," said Dana Corey, Vice President of Global Sales for Prysm, Inc. "We also want to congratulate our partner, Advanced, for earning a DIGI for 'Best Interactive Technology Roll-Out' for their amazing project with GE Energy in Canada -- where our 60ft wide curved LPD display served as a showcase feature."
Prysm is the only company on the market offering LPD technology. LPD solutions deliver a uniform picture quality over life and offer contrast, fill factors and the fast response time required to provide brilliant video solutions with longer life spans. Prysm displays are the world's greenest, designed to decrease energy costs while simultaneously providing an unparalleled viewing experience for customers. Prysm displays use up to 75 percent less energy and decrease the production of greenhouse gases by 80 percent when compared to competing LCD, LED, plasma and rear-projector videowall displays.
Prysm also offers interactive and immersive capabilities, including the availability of on-screen gesture sensors, interactive touch screens, remote control access, up to 180 degree curved walls and free-form videowall capabilities. Recent LPD installations include: IAC Headquarters in New York, Dubai Media and GE Canada.
