BioDiscovery Inc., the leading developer of integrated software solutions for microarray based research announced today the release of ImaGene 8.0 for microarray image analysis. The new features include improved auto-gridding, faster processing for highly dense arrays, and support for multi-sample arrays.
Building on its reputation as a highly robust image analysis application, ImaGene 8.0 offers enhancements that provide accurate and faster results to keep processing times down for the newest arrays. It has an improved auto-segmentation algorithm that removes speckle noise, an improved auto-grid placement algorithm performing robust grid placement on even very dense and complex arrays, and improved quantification time for the largest arrays. It supports multi-sample array images such as 4x44K arrays and generates separate output files for each field in the image to allow easier downstream analysis of individual samples.
As its predecessor, ImaGene 8.0 is the solution for both expression as well as array comparative genomic hybridization arrays (aCGH). Both the Expression and aCGH modules are available with ImaGene 8.0 allowing researchers from a wide spectrum to have access to superior microarray image and data analysis tools. The aCGH module provides seamless processing from image analysis to copy number calculations.
ImaGene is recognized by industry experts as the easiest to use microarray analysis package available. With single click automation, integrated advanced quality control parameters, numerous patented segmentation and contamination removal algorithms, and hundreds of active customers worldwide, ImaGene remains the leader in microarray expression and aCGH microarray image analysis. ImaGene is available for OS X, Linux and Windows operating systems.
