Larson Electronics Releases 150 Watt LED Scaffold Mount Work Light

Larson Electronics has announced the addition of a high power LED work light designed for mounting to scaffold or ladders to allow easy illumination large work areas without the need for a dedicated tower or mounting platform. The WAL-JH-150LED-120/277V LED Work Light with Ladder or Scaffold Mount can be easily attached to any ladder or scaffold framework and provides as much illumination as HID lamps while offering higher durability and reliability.

The WAL-JH-150LED-120/277V LED scaffold mount work light from Larson Electronics provides high power illumination in a durable and reliable bracket mounted LED design that allows easy attachment to scaffolds and ladders. This powerful bracket mount LED work light produces 14,790 lumens of high quality light and due to its high efficiency and advanced design provides illumination rivaling that of 400 watt metal halide units. The heavy duty lamp housing on this work light is sealed against water and dust intrusion and IP68 rated waterproof to 3 meters of submersion. In standard configurations, these high output LED lights produce illumination in a wide flood pattern, allowing them to cover up to 18,000 square feet of workspace effectively. These LED work lights also have a 50,000 hour operating life, far more than incandescent or metal halide lamps, and can withstand vibrations and impacts that would shatter normal light bulbs. These units are fitted with a waterproof inline transformer and 25 feet of oil and abrasion resistant cord to allow operation with common 120-277 VAC current. Operators can also disconnect the transformer and connect these LED work lights directly to the 12 or 24 volt DC power commonly available from vehicles and equipment, giving them greater versatility and the ability to be operated independently of standard AC power sources. The lamps are attached to the mounting platform via an adjustable bracket that allows side to side and vertical adjustment of the lamp body. The ladder/scaffold mounting bracket is constructed from heavy duty aluminum for light weight and high strength and an adjustable J-hook can be adjusted from 26 inches to 43 inches in length to allow attachment to a wide variety of ladders and scaffolding of different sizes. A center mounted lamp post also allows operators to raise the lamp assembly up to 3 feet above the mounting bracket assembly, helping to increase coverage of the work area and reduce glare. Operators can simply loosen the adjustable J-hook, hang the ladder on a ladder rung or scaffold rail where needed, then slide the J-hook into position to lock the unit in place. These LED work lights are heavy duty units and designed to withstand the demanding conditions of industrial workplaces so workers have reliable high output illumination whenever it is needed.

"With the WAL-JH-150LED-120/277V LED you can put those heavy ballast boxes associated with the metal halide light tower behind you," said Rob Bresnahan with LarsonElectronics.com. "You can also stop worrying about replacing light heads and bulbs. Finally, you don't need to worry about vibration. This LED light eliminates all those concerns."
