JK Lasers' new 2kW fiber laser will be displayed on booth 2028 at the Lasers for Manufacturing Event (LME), held on 23 and 24 October in Schaumberg, Illinois, USA.
The high powered JK2000FL can be used with different diameter processing fibres from 100µm to 300µm for cutting and welding a wide range of sheet metals. Accelerating throughput without compromising quality, it is ideal for many applications including tailored blank welding and hydro-formed tube cutting in the automotive industry and titanium welding aircraft skins and structures.
The JK2000FL is fitted with JK Lasers’ patented Plug-In, Pre-Aligned (PIPA) fibre beam delivery system. Featuring integrated back reflection protection, the laser is able to safely process highly reflective materials such as aluminium, titanium and copper. In addition to its exceptional beam quality, the laser is up to ten times more energy efficient and three times more compact than an Nd:YAG laser of a comparable power level.
Throughout LME, JK Lasers’ staff will be on-hand to discuss how the company’s range watt to kilowatt fiber lasers, Nd:YAG lasers, process tools and user-friendly software can meet a demanding range of applications. Visitors are encouraged to bring their components to JK Lasers’ booth for complimentary sample processing. This service, carried out post-show in specialist laboratories, helps ensure the most appropriate laser is selected for each customer’s individual requirements.
Organised by the Laser Institute for America (LIA), LME is billed as a one-stop event for companies interested in integrating laser technology into their production. With a series of educational courses as well as the main exhibition, attendees can learn about automation equipment, laser choices, beam delivery, safety considerations and applications development.
