Oclaro has declared that it will introduce its new 100G products and technologies and will deliver presentations on a number of industry panels during the forthcoming ECOC Exhibition, which is to be held in Amsterdam, The Netherlands, from September 17 to 20.
Ranked as the second largest provider of optical components, subsystems, and modules, Oclaro features industry’s vast and vertically-integrated product lines that can help combat the bandwidth demands of rapidly emerging applications like cloud computing, social networking, and video streaming.
According to the President, Global Business for Oclaro, Jim Haynes, the company has been optimizing its long-term optical expertise for producing a comprehensive portfolio of 100 G solutions with improved reliability, performance, compact design, and power efficiency, thereby enabling simple and efficient interface with the existing high-speed coherent networks.
Oclaro's product line of high-speed networking products are capable of receiving, transmitting, switching, and amplifying light signals over fiber optic networks resulting in a new range of high speed services for data center markets, core optical network and the enterprise. With 100 Gbps market growing at a rapid pace, Oclaro provides key optical components, subsystems, and modules as a sole supplier, benefiting its customers with cost-efficiency, target on product differentiation and reduced development time.
Oclaro experts will be presenting on several panels at the ECOC show. The presentations feature Market focus: challenges and solutions for optical networks at 100Gbps and beyond; paper presentation: blind chromatic dispersion estimation using a spectrum of a modulus squared of the transmitted signal; and workshop: WS07 low-cost open access to photonic integration technology, 4th european photonic integration forum.
