Seesmart LED Lighting Retrofitted in Ashforth’s Properties

Seesmart Technologies declared that two of Ashforth Company’s properties located in Connecticut have been retrofitted with Seesmart’s energy-efficient LED lighting, which ensures quick return on investment within just 15 months, in addition to improving its spaces.

The commercial real estate firm Ashforth forecasts that it will conserve 56% on annual lighting and energy costs. Focused on sustainability, the company will bring down its carbon footprint by over 253,000-lb of carbon dioxide per year.

Seesmart’s LED retrofit project were targeted on two of Ashforth’s Connecticut-based properties such as Ashforth’s HQ 707 Summer Street, and 3001 Stamford Square, where around 1,300 of 32-W, T-8 fluorescent bulbs in the property’s lobbies, garages, and common areas were replaced with Seesmart’s LED tube lights of high-efficiency.

Seesmart’s lighting retrofit was carried out in building locations that require constant lighting including vestibules, garages, stairwells, and lobbies, thereby minimizing the building’s energy consumption. Lighting maintenance will also be easy and simple as LEDs eliminate the need for ballast replacement and rapid bulb replacement.

The combined savings for the project has been predicted to exceed $200,000.

The Vice President of Albert B. Ashforth, and property manager for 707 and 3001 Summer Street, David Marks recognized Seesmart at a BOMA annual convention in California, five years back and selected Seesmart for Ashforth retrofit project.

Recently, Ashforth successfully achieved a $12 M-worth renovation of its 3001 Stamford Square property. Seesmart lighting products were incorporated in the building’s façade and main lobby, complementing the project’s success.
