A sophisticated Sensors Unlimited shortwave infrared (SWIR) digital video camera will be introduced by the UTC Aerospace Systems, a unit of United Technologies at the AUVSI Unmanned Systems North America Exhibition to be held in Las Vegas from August 6 to 9.
This indium gallium arsenide (InGaAs) robust camera is lightweight, compact and has high-resolution digital camera features featuring 30 Hz full-frame rate with snapshot mode capability.
This SWIR camera is suited to capture images in dull foggy weather and in low light. It also has features to gain automatic control and other real time corrections to improve and capture night imaging.
This GA1280JS model has been tested to MIL-STD-810G to see if it is affected by acceleration, humidity, altitude, and temperature, thermal or functional shock and for vibrations. Since this video camera can capture images in harsh climates, it can be integrated into a range of reconnaissance and surveillance systems. This series does not require to be cooled. Furthermore it features automatic, on-board gain control and non-uniform real-time corrections that enhance urban night imaging such as capturing a dark scene with bright light sources.
The UTC Aerospace Systems services customers globally; it also designs, manufactures, services and provides high technology systems and components for defense and aerospace industries.
