Calix recently declared that Calix E7-2 Ethernet Service Access Platform (ESAP) and 700GE family of optical network terminals (ONTs) have been selected by New Hampshire FastRoads for delivering point-to-point gigabit Ethernet services to underserved subscribers existing in around 35 communities across the state’s western region.
NH FastRoads has collaborated with Network New Hampshire Now (NNHN). Fiber network project was awarded by 470-mi Broadband Technology Opportunities Program (BTOP). This initiative was provided financial support with $21.5 M in private and in-kind support and a $44.5 M BTOP Broadband Stimulus grant to add next-generation broadband services across the Monadnock regions and Upper Valley, providing the Rindge and Enfield customers with fiber-to-the-premises (FTTP) projects. This project, which integrates the joint efforts of both NNHN and NH FastRoads, will contribute to delivering the western New Hampshire rural residents with premiere networks.
NH FastRoads is Monadnock Economic Development’s Limited Liability Company. Providing accessible and economical broadband is the main objective of this organization, and works with a mission to ensure the region’s businesses, residents, and institutions with the ideal broadband infrastructure to promote sustainable economic development in addition to supporting jobs.
