Magnalight Unveils Low-Cost Explosion Proof LED Light

Larson Electronics' Magnalight has launched a low-cost LED explosion proof LED light fixture that is ideal for use in wet and corrosive locations.

Magnalight’s HALP- 48-2L-LED Class 1 Division 2 LED Light is effective for use in marine and petrochemical industries requiring a Class 1 Division 2 lighting solution. This lighting fixture is made up of non-corrosive materials. The glass fiber-based polyester structure features impact resistant acrylic diffuser, poured in cover gasket, and stainless steel cover latches, and therefore will not be affected by wetness or other corrosive marine impacts. Equipped with Magnalight's high output LED tube lamps, these fixtures will deliver 50,000+ hour operating life, contrasting capability, and unique lumen output, thereby withstanding vibrations and impacts.

These light-weight HALP- 48-2L-LED fixtures ensure easy installation and serve to be an affordable alternative that is capable of being modified and re-lamped similar to a traditional fixture. Unlike the integrated LED-based fixtures, this HALP- 48-2L-LED enables the user to achieve simple and instant replacement of lamps. With upgrade in technologies, these LED lamps are flexible to support higher upgrades by operators. These explosion proof light fixtures posses more beneficial features, surpassing integrated fixtures in cost- and performance-efficiencies. The HALP- 48-2L-LED has achieved UL Class 1 Division 2, Groups A, B, C, D and UL 1598A Marine Type approvals. It supports voltages such as 240 V-60 hz , 120 V-60 hz, 220 V-50 hz and 277 V-60 hz.
