Expotrade Brings Energy-Efficient Lighting to Middle East

The Middle East Smart Lighting & Energy Summit will be hosted from 5 to 6 November 2012 at Abu Dhabi. This event will be attended by renowned experts and decision-makers who focus on the development of energy efficient lighting systems across the Middle East.

Middle East Smart Lighting & Energy Summit will offer the latest data from construction and product development, to architectural and urban lighting. It includes case studies, solutions and companies involved in the development of this rapidly growing market.

It includes more than 200 senior professionals that are expert in using energy-efficient and innovative lighting solutions. The 2012 Middle East Smart Lighting & Energy Summit was embellished with innovative solutions, eminent speakers and unique and detailed case studies.

Around 19% of the overall electricity is utilized by lighting. Focus on high energy efficiency by municipalities and governments have led to the analysis of application of varied lighting sources and systems. With innovative lighting, there will be low carbon emissions and minimal energy utilization.

As governments and municipalities highlight energy efficient solution, the growth of population and urban development in UAE will continue at a record pace. Intelligent lighting systems become essential with the development achievement of urban development projects and new buildings over the next five years.

Over 1.9 M LED lights were deployed in over 20,000 Chinese street lights, recently. This massive municipal intelligent lighting control projects included 1 tunnel, 16-mi of highway, and 119 streets. This installation led to the conservation of electricity up to 17.6 M kWh. Around 1.9 M Cree XLamp XP-E and XP-G LEDs were integrated in lights for providing the local citizens with a better lifestyle and to comply with China’s strict roadway lighting requirements for brightness, heat dissipation, light efficacy, luminance, and lifetime.
