BulbAmerica Unveils Remote-Controlled LED Light Bulb

INSTEON, a producer of a highly-recognized remote control product line, and products ranging from irrigation controllers to lamp dimmers and thermostats, has introduced the first remote-controllable LED light bulb. This cost-effective 60 W bulb can be dimmed through a remote control for iPhone, Android, and iPad iOS.

The LED Bulb can be connected to multiple controllers like door and motion sensors, keypads, a handheld remote, or even a smartphone. The same technology is effective for concurrent turning on or off multiple light bulbs by connecting them to a single controller.

INSTEON, located in Irvine, California, known for its innovative dual-band and simulcast mesh technology, provides the industry’s most rapid wireless device communication. The extensive series of devices like the remote-controllable LED light bulb available with double-tap, press-and-hold, and intuitive tap controls and the settings like smooth dimming transitions and a wide range of brightness levels can be customized for ambiance.

Upon installation, the INSTEON LED bulb’s exceptional network address being printed on the bulb instantly recognizes INSTEON network or any adjacent device. The SmartLinc Hub triggers an iOS or Android tablet or smartphone into a complete INSTEON network or a fully functional remote control of the bulb. LED light bulbs include incorporated patented dual-band communication technology of INSTEON that allows network signal repeater to transmit signals over a home’s existing power line as well as radio frequencies.
