The joint solution complies with the United States federal government standards specifying Personal Identity Verification (PIV) needs in facial image capturing systems.
FIPS 201 is a United States federal government standard which stipulates PIV requirements for federal contractors and employees. Following its introduction, FIPS201 resulted in the standardization of biometric processing for electronic credentials that have application for logical and physical access control solutions.

An f/1.4-close aperture range ensures clear and crisp images in low-light conditions. The hybrid aspherical elements of CCTV lens enable the minimization of various optical aberrations that results in high optical quality. It consists of a focus range of 0.3 m, manual iris, and zoom and focus with lock, and in air back focus of 9.05 mm (wide) to 18.90 mm (tele). The lens surface includes multi-coating to reduce ghosting and flare in backlit conditions.
