Recently, DRE Medical Equipment has launched a new LED version of its DRE Vista Exam Light that ensures lowest heat output and best color temperature.
This compact DRE Vista LED diagnostic light is lightweight and maneuverable with a large flood pattern. It is being offered in multiple configurations such as Single Ceiling mount, Dual Ceiling mount, Portable system, and Single Wall mount.
The Vista LED exam light consists of a 28-in articulating arm that includes a 23-in Extension Arm and an integral compression spring. The arm revolves 40° up and down from horizontal plane. The lamphead and arm both rotates 540°. The light consists of a sterilizable handle-leveraged 5-Stage Dimming and On or Off Switch.
LED lights are an eco-friendly green option that are more durable, utilizing 50 % less energy compared to similar halogen lighting. LED lights have a life span of 50,000 h than gas discharge bulbs and halogen lights having 5000 hours and 1000 and 2000 h lifespan respectively. Also, LED lights generate pure white.
The operating room usually makes use of the source of heat as surgical light. In contrast, LEDs will generate light alone within the visible spectrum.
Large flood pattern with improved shadow control can be achieved with LED lights. A halogen system generally includes a single bulb as well as a multifaceted reflector, wherein each facet is of varied shape and distance from the bulb, giving rise to hot and cold spots on the light pattern. LED lights are capable of overlapping, creating round and consistent spots. It enables the surgeons not to be distracted by shadows that travel through the pattern.
