FiberLight, a supplier of high performance, mission critical fiber optic networks, recently declared that it has received a delivery contract from the National Institute of Health. In this project, FiberLight will provide Ethernet services from Bethesda to their remote data center, as an end to end optical transport services.
For more than 10 years, FiberLight’s fiber optic network services have been provided for Maryland customers such as carrier, education, and in government and enterprises. Recently, the firm expanded its footprint across 600 route- miles, extending from Baltimore, to central Virginia through Washington DC. Since five years, FiberLight has been actively constructing a new underground fiber infrastructure in the Mid-Atlantic. To complement its potential, it has now been presented with a contract award from the National Institute of Health.
President of Sales & Marketing at FiberLight, Ben Edmond said that the National Institute of Health will be provided with turnkey Ethernet transport services to transport data between the National Institute of Health facilities. LightSource Ethernet will utilize E-Line logical design that complies to MEF standard to assure maximum optimal performance, security and latency.
