FiberLight has declared that it will connect North Georgia Networks to the rest of the world with about 108 miles of its high speed, fiber optic network. Associations in Eight Counties have come together to materialize a Fiber Optic Super Highway in North Georgia Mountains.
The company is one of the important suppliers of high speed fiber optic networks and would connect a part of its strong network in Alpharetta, GA with 1,000-mile arrangement of NGN to contribute a versatile, protected network to metro Atlanta from North Georgia and also connect NGN with 56 Marietta, which is a Telx facility that forms a base to 35,000 links between service providers, enterprise and carriers. The facility offers carrier neutral access to suppliers and operations that can take North Georgia Networks outside the Southeast region.
Officials stated that the North Georgia Network broadband infrastructure project, worth $42 million can cater to 9,200 businesses, 245 establishments, and 42,000 families in the eight-county North Georgia region, together with hospitals universities, public schools, and government facilities.
President and CEO of North Georgia Network, Bruce Abraham says that affiliation with Fiberlight motivates NGN to make broadband accessible to the underserved areas of North Georgia. He added that Fiberlight also provides rapid and protected access along with a diverse network and neutral access that helps in connecting to other suppliers and services.
Fiberlight’s Atlanta network has been created in an optical ring topology by means of an advanced, high fiber count cable constructed diverse from the local exchange carrier (LEC), thus offering a safe and flexible network.
