Vishay Intertechnology unveils a new array of 1 W cool, warm, and neutral white LED device, complementing its extensive portfolio of Little Star package of SMD power LEDs. The new white LEDs depend on nitride phosphor for maximum color stability over temperature.
The compact and radiant VLMW712xxx generates high luminous intensity with low thermal resistance of up to10 K/W and serves an extensive range of applications.
Vishay's new Little Star LEDs includes an SMD power package with ultra-low profile of 1.5 mm and a compact 6x6 mm footprint and is considered as the most powerful and efficient lighting products in the market. The devices are capable of operation at high current rate up to 350 mA, and provide a typical luminous flux from 67.2 lm to 113.6 lm and brilliant luminous intensity measuring 33,500 mcd typical.
The VLMW712xxx series LEDs are ideally used for conventional lighting and related applications due to its brilliant illumination capability and low profile. Several other related innovative offerings include architectural lighting, indoor and outdoor video and advertising lighting, traffic signal lights, tube lights, general lighting and garden lights. In addition, indicator and backlighting for audio equipment and domestic devices like microwaves are also available.
The devices mark a 120° viewing angle and a 60° half-intensity angle that can be optimized with IR-reflow solder processes. The VLMW712xxx series LEDs are WEEE 2002/96/EC and RoHS 2002/95/EC compliant. It has an ESD up to 2 kV. Customized with JEDEC moisture sensitivity Level 2a standards, the Little Star LEDs is free of lead (Pb).
