Nexxus Lighting has declared the availability of its new Array LED BR30 replacement light bulb. This first high-performance light bulb incorporates patented 2nd generation Selective Heat Sink Technology and an advanced dimming circuit, facilitating reduction in weight and material cost.
The BR30 designed to exceed ENERGY STAR standards, utilizes less than 10 W and will generate light output equivalent to 65 W incandescent bulbs. A single new Array BR30 will replace 25 normal 65 W BR30 incandescent bulbs over its average life time. The new offering will be available commercially in March 2012.
The President and CEO of Nexxus Lighting, Mike Bauer said that Nexxus sets the benchmark in excellent design, cost and efficiency for LED replacement bulbs. This new 650 lm Array BR30 LED light bulb surpasses all the other BR30 LED replacements in terms of lumens per watt efficacy. The cost-efficiency of this LED bulb will promote its market acceptance, and the new design has improved the company’s dimming circuitry. In addition, the patented Selective Heat Sink Technology is responsible for the light-weight of the Array BR30, which weighs just 7oz. Besides allowing improved portability, the light weight facilitates better installation without damaging the structures.
The Selective Heat Sink Technology is an innovative patented approach to thermal management that also facilitates consistent operation of over 50,000 h, demonstrating 80% reduction in energy utilization than the equivalent incandescent and halogen bulbs.
