Renowned as the World’s Oil Capital, Tulsa, Oklahoma, is now all set to progress with new innovative, energy efficient alternatives. Following the collaboration of the City of Tulsa with the U.S.-based firms such as Amerlux, a luminaire manufacturer and Bridgelux, a lightsource manufacturer, the City of Tulsa has installed high quality, energy efficient LED street lighting in its historic brady district.
The pavements of the new Driller Stadium and park will be lighted up with approximately 200 Amerlux outdoor luminaires utilizing Bridgelux LED arrays. Last year, 64 out of 200 luminaries were installed. Compared to other conventional High Intensity Discharge (HID) streetlights, this new brilliant LED lighting will have increased energy-efficiency and reduce maintenance costs.
The Amerlux D142 and D154 Series decorative downlight, marking the significant Bridgelux ES LED arrays, facilitates a wide range of optical configurations. As a result, the system will be adapted to produce excellent light quality and light levels, thereby catering to the lighting application requirements of customers. Furthermore, the Amerlux D154 and D142 downlights generate enhanced lumen packages of up to 5000 and 7600 lm, respectively, serving as the best alternative to HID luminaires.
According to the white paper published by LED Roadway Lighting1, the LED street lighting serves to be the ideal solution for municipalities throughout the country, with minimized maintenance costs and lower energy costs. The high quality LED lighting underlines the visual effect of various restaurants, commercial and other hospitality spaces and storefronts.
