A new mirrorless interchangeable lens camera has been designed by one of the renowned contemporary designers, Marc Newson. The PENTAX K-01 offers a comprehensive range of superior functions such as a 16 MP CMOS image sensor with high-speed burst shooting, multiple aspect ratios and low image noise, a Full HD video recording and an extra-wide sensitivity range, incorporated inside the camera body with elegant structure and versatile function.
The Pentax K-01 encloses a 16 MP APS-C sensor, and recognizes an extensive array of PENTAX interchangeable K-mount lenses that are employed in film-format SLR cameras. With its excellent lens compatibility, an appropriate lens can be selected for a specific purpose with the required visual effect and perspective with simplified operation.
The Pentax K-01 includes a 920k dot rear LCD and sensor-shift image stabilization. It can shoot at up to 6 FPS. Capturing high-quality movie clips of up to1920 x1080 px have been facilitated by the Pentax K-01’s full HD video-recording function. A variety of frame rate such as 30, 25 or 24 FPS for user-specific applications has been offered through the in-built H.264 recording format. A HDMI type C terminal integrated in PENTAX K-01 facilitates real-time output, Full HD movie clips and stereo sound, and also an external microphone input terminal.
The original design scheme of Marc Newson is manifest in all elements of the K-01 such as the inclusive camera strap, the product logo, and even the start-up screen that appears as soon as the K-01’s power is turned on.
Henry’s camera is the first Canadian retailer to manage the stock and supply of the new Pentax K-01 and revised 40mm F2.8 pancake lens. The Pentax K-01 and 40mm F2.8 lens will be available by March 2012.
